Story about Jamie
Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life,
I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.
Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play.
His mother told
me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would
not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded,
I went with her to collect him
after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and
excitement. "Guess what, Mom," he shouted, and then said those words
that will remain a lesson to me....."I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

Do you have Elementary Kid?
'Take only ONE. God is watching.'
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'
Smart Little Girl
The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'
The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.
This was written By Regina Brett of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio
To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolls over to 70 in August, so here goes:1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood but, the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
Satan's Deadliest Strategy
SATAN'S MEETING: (Read even if you're busy)
Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.
In his opening address he said,
"We can't keep Christians from going to church."
"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth."
"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their
savior."
"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken."
"So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners,
BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with
Jesus Christ.."
"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:
"Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital
connection throughout their day!"
"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.
"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes
to occupy their minds," he answered.
"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."
"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work
6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty
lifestyles."
"Keep them from spending time with their children."
"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the
pressures of work!"
"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small
voice."
"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive." To
keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see
to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music
constantly."
"This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."
"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."
"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."
"Invade their driving moments with billboards."
"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and
every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services
and false hopes.."
"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands
will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become
dissatisfied with their wives. "
"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."
"Give them headaches too! "
"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to
look elsewhere."
"That will fragment their families quickly!"
"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the
real meaning of Christmas."
"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and
power over sin and death."
"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."
"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."
"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send
them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies
instead."
"Keep them busy, busy, busy!"
"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and
small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."
"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power
from Jesus."
"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health
and family for the good of the cause."
"It will work!"
"It will work!"
It was quite a plan!
The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere
to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.
Having little time for their God or their families.
Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.
I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?
You be the judge!!!!!
Does "BUSY" mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan's Y-oke?
Please pass this on, if you aren't too BUSY!
I don't think I know 10 people who would admit they love Jesus.
Do You Love Him?

God's Wife
An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in
December, some years ago:
A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before
a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window,
and shivering with cold.
A lady approached the young boy and said, "My, but you're in
such deep thought staring in that window!"
"I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes,"was the
boy's reply. The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the
clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy.
She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel.
He quickly brought them
to her. She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and,
removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with
the towel. By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks.
Placing a pair
upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes.
She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him.
She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, you will be more
comfortable now."
As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand,
and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her.
"Are you God's wife?"

The Story
On my way home one day,
I stopped to watch a Little League base ball
game that was being played in a park near my home.
As I sat down behind
the bench on the first-base line,
I asked one of the boys what the score
was. "We're behind 14 to nothing," he answered with a smile.
"Really," I said.
"I have to say you don't look
very discouraged." "Discouraged?",
the boy asked with a puzzled look on his
face... "Why should we be discouraged?
We haven't been up to bat
yet."

The Teacher
Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of
a family.
One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than
the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.
A little girl said, "I know all about adoption, I was
adopted.." "What does it mean to be adopted?", asked another child.
"It means", said the girl, "that you grew in your
mommy's heart instead of her tummy!"

Story
Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most
caring child.
The winner was: A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly
gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little
boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just
sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the
little boy just said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

10 Reasons I Marry My Hubby
1.) Because they want an easy way out.
They feel hopeless living in the
Philippines that's why they just want
to get the heck outta there.
Ans. I did not marry my hubby so i can live here in US but i marry him because of my love. If you love someone wherever they are you are there also.
2.) Because they are ugly. Filipino
men tend to have higher standards when
it comes to beauty than most American
men. Some Filipinas couldn't get a
filipino guy that's why they end up
marrying Americans.
Ans: If you truly love someone it doesn't matter if a person is ugly outside as long as inside is good. I have lots of BF in the Phils but not one is serious enough to love me.
3.) Because they think when they come
in the US, they will be the center of
attraction. It's so funny when some
filipinas really think of themselves
highly and that in the eyes of
Americans, they are the most beautiful
women in the whole world.
Ans: Honestly all of my bf before they called me "gwapa" means beautiful but love demands and the saying says"beauty is upon the eyes of the beholder is true." Wherever you are if a person loves you it doesn't matter if your ugly or not.
4.) They got pregnant by some filipino
punk and got ditched! Well, Americans
really don't care if the filipina has
a love child. At least that's what some
idiot filipinas think.
Ans: I guess this is a question of a filipina who has kids but hey there is no wrong about it...I am totally pure heheh when i have my hubby.
5.)Because they're not anymore
pure! Again, Americans are very
open minded about things and purity
is not a big issue whereas Filipino
men care about it a lot.
Ans; I am very pure and i preserve it for my hubby...
6.) Because they want to come in the
Land of the free and the home of the
brave.. They look at US as if it's
heaven.
Ans; Everybody has its own freedom and there is no law against it.
7 .) Because of the green money..
DOLLARS! So, they could work and send
money to their family back in the
Philippines.<>
Ans; That is an options to every Filipina. If they send or not its their choice.
8.) Because marrying an American makes
them feel important. I hate it when a
filipina who's married to an American
acts like her sh*t doesn't smell as
awful as some filipinas who are
married to filipinos.
Ans; Oh that is not nice its their choice to marry someone whoever they are. Judge not and you shall not be judge.
9.) Because they LOVE the guy.. But, I
really do believe that SOME filipinas
didn't feel that way at first..
Ans; I don't like to marry someone whom i did not love. Love should be given to your hubby.
10.) Because they want to have mestizo
babies that they can show off.. they
think that fil-am kids are superior
than pure bred Filipino kids.. not
true at all..
Ans; It doesn't matter what color is your baby as long as its God's gift we will accept it. Love and love and love them...

In Mindanao, Philippine troops regain control of villages
ZAMBOANGA CITY, PHILIPPINES -- Government forces Wednesday took back control of more than a dozen villages abandoned by retreating Muslim rebels in the troubled southern island of Mindanao, military officials said. Philippine troops, backed by attack planes and artillery, expelled hundreds of Moro Islamic Liberation Front fighters who seized 15 villages across North Cotabato province last week, they said.
We have totally reclaimed the villages occupied by rebels. But troops are still clearing the areas of land mines left behind by the MILF forces," said Lt. Col. Julieto Ando, a spokesman for the army's 6th Infantry Division. Rebels occupied the villages in the mainly Christian province, saying they are part of a Muslim homeland that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's government last month agreed to establish in negotiations brokered by Malaysia. The Supreme Court stopped the formal signing of the accord after politicians and lawmakers opposed to the deal filed a petition. The government issued an ultimatum last week for the guerrillas to withdraw, but the rebels held their ground and accused armed militias of sparking the clashes in the towns of Aleosan, Pikit and Midsayap.
The police and the military accused the rebels of pillaging civilian areas and attacking government forces after North Cotabato opposed its inclusion in the deal with the rebels, which would cede part of the province to the autonomous Muslim homeland.A week long battle between rebel and government forces killed more than two dozen soldiers and guerrillas and forced about 160,000 civilians to flee their homes. The United Nations said Wednesday that it was alarmed by the humanitarian crisis in Mindanao caused by the fighting and appealed for restraint and protection of civilians. Ando, the military spokesman, said rebel forces had retreated to the hinterlands. Authorities said they would file charges against rebel commander Ameril Umbra Kato. There have been no reports of fresh clashes, Ando said, adding that many civilians displaced by the fighting wanted to return home."They want to attend to their farms and return to their normal life, but land mines and unexploded munitions are posing a danger to civilians," Ando said. "Troops are carefully clearing the areas, slowly and inch by inch, to really ensure that no explosives are left behind." The rebel group said it had ordered its forces to withdraw to avoid clashes with government troops. "We have complied with the agreement between the cease-fire committees to reposition our forces to avoid further clashes," said Eid Kabalu, a senior rebel leader. "Had militias not attacked the MILF, there would have been no hostilities in North Cotabato." Kabalu said the group had ordered the rebels to defend themselves against military attacks. Mohagher Iqbal, the rebels' chief peace negotiator, said Tuesday that the hostilities could spread to other parts of Mindanao and were threatening the peace talks.
